What Timmy AI does
Timmy AI is billed separately from your plan, based on how much it is used.
Ask Timmy: your HR helpdesk
Ask about your leave balance, your payslips, your attendance or where a policy is. Answers come from your own records and your company's documents. It cannot be pointed at a colleague: it has no way to look up anyone but the person asking.
Catch me up
Summarise a channel for today, three days or a week. Ask "What did I miss?" across every conversation with unread messages. Or summarise a long thread. It reads only what you could already read yourself.
Search by meaning
Find the conversation about the release even when nobody typed the word "release". Results by meaning appear above the usual keyword results. New messages can be searched by meaning within about a day. It only searches channels you can read.
Translate a message
Translate any message into English, Spanish, French, German and Japanese. The original stays on screen beside it, because in a workplace what was actually said matters. A translation is not saved anywhere.
Meeting notes
Turn a thread, or a transcribed recording, into a summary, decisions, actions and open questions. Copy them out to keep. It names an owner or a date only when the conversation does. It never invents either.

The limit: Where something is not in your records it says to ask your manager, rather than guessing.
Reply suggestions
Get three short draft replies to a message. Choose one and it is placed in your message box for you to change.
The limit: Nothing is ever sent for you.
Engagement insights
An overall read on how a channel's conversation is going, for managers and administrators. It is off until an administrator turns it on, and everyone in the channel is told it is on.
The limit: Never about an individual, never in a direct message, and never for a channel with fewer than five people or under 25 messages.

Only the organisation's top administrator can switch Timmy AI on. It is off until they do, and they can switch it off again at any time.

Using AI on employees' words is a decision your organisation makes. Here is what you would be deciding.
Off until the top administrator turns it on
Timmy AI is off for a new workspace. The organisation's top administrator turns it on and can turn it off again at any time. While it is off, nothing is sent to any AI provider. That means no summaries, no search indexing and no transcripts. The setting takes effect immediately.
Who receives what
Anthropic (Claude) receives the text needed to answer the request, only when someone uses a feature. Voyage AI receives message text to compute the numbers used for search by meaning. Deepgram receives the audio of a recording, once it has been sent, to produce a transcript. We list them as sub-processors in our privacy policy.
It respects who can see what
Each feature works only from what the person using it can already read. Guests cannot use it at all. In a channel shared with another organisation, only your own organisation's messages are ever processed. Anything from the other side is left out, and the result says so.
What is kept
Translations, notes, reply suggestions and getting-started guides are shown to you and not saved. A channel summary is saved briefly so asking twice is quick, and is removed in the nightly clean-up. Search numbers and transcripts are kept with the message or recording they came from, and are removed when that message is erased or expires under your retention policy.
It says when it wrote something
Everything Timmy AI produces is labelled as written by Timmy AI, with a reminder that it can get things wrong. Check anything important against the conversation itself.
No broken buttons
If the AI service cannot answer for any reason, the Timmy AI buttons disappear instead of staying on screen and failing. They come back by themselves when it can.
We do not use your content to train AI models. If you need a data processing agreement, or have questions for your data-protection lead, contact us.
